Finally, Hope for Our Dog-Ravaged Lawn! This Clover Sprouts Fast!
The media could not be loaded. Let's be honest, our lawn was looking rough. Between our five active dogs and their bathroom habits, our traditional grass just couldn't keep up. We had patchy dead spots and areas that refused to grow back, no matter what we tried. We needed a serious solution, something more resilient and beneficial for the soil. After some research, we landed on this OutsidePride White Dutch Clover seed, specifically the 10 lbs bag of nitro-coated and inoculated seeds, suitable for our Zone 7a lawn.I am genuinely impressed with the initial results! We prepped the soil lightly and seeded the most problematic areas first. I was skeptical about how quickly we'd see anything, but within just a few days, tiny green clover sprouts started popping up! It was amazing to see them already beginning to fill in those barren patches where the dogs had done their worst. The quick germination gave us a huge boost of confidence.Seeing that early success, we actually went ahead and did a second, broader seeding yesterday to help establish a thicker, more uniform clover lawn across the entire area. We can't wait to see it all come together. One of the big selling points for us, beyond just covering the patches, is clover's natural soil-enhancing ability. White Dutch Clover is a legume, and thanks to beneficial bacteria in its root nodules (which is why getting inoculated seed like this is important!), it performs nitrogen fixation. Essentially, it pulls nitrogen gas from the atmosphere – which grasses can't use directly – and converts it into a form that enriches the soil, acting like a slow-release natural fertilizer. This should mean a healthier lawn overall, potentially reducing the need for chemical fertilizers, which is great for pets and the environment.Another key factor was finding something that could withstand some wear and tear. Clover tends to be quite resilient. It springs back well after being walked on (or run on, in our dogs' case!), unlike some grasses that get easily matted or damaged. We're hopeful this will lead to a consistently greener, more robust ground cover. The Only Con: If I have to list a downside, it's simply the waiting game! Seeing those first sprouts is thrilling, but my own impatience makes me wish I could snap my fingers and see the final, lush result right now. Of course, that's not the seed's fault – growing a beautiful lawn takes a little time!Overall: We are incredibly optimistic about this OutsidePride clover seed. The fast germination is a huge plus, it's already tackling our problem areas, and the long-term benefits of nitrogen fixation and resilience are exactly what our lawn needs. I will definitely circle back and post an update with photos once it's fully established and we see how it handles the dogs long-term. For now, highly recommended for anyone looking for a hardy, beneficial lawn alternative, especially if you have pets creating challenging conditions!

Germination in 24 hours, no joke.
I’ve purchased this clover seed two times in two different sizes, 5lb and 2lb respectively.I got it to seed a sun starved backyard after I had a huge mulberry tree removed that was blocking out most of the sun so the soil was good, just never enough sun to maintain any ground cover except for weeds. These seeds germinate so fast, like the instant they get wet. If you pay attention to the weather and throw seed just before or during a rain, you won’t even have to water them in. Not even kidding. I seeded exactly that way. I’ve only watered the spots in the yard where I’m having trouble with it filling in, mainly bc that’s where my dog likes to pee. As the pics show I now have a pretty decently well filled in yard after only about 5-6 weeks.Tree removal 4-21-25First seeding 4-24-25Germination/sprouts 4-26-254-28-25 =full primary leaves5-6-25 =secondary leavesMay 24 2025=lush full and about 1” deepSeeded again on June 7 after receiving my 2 lb bag to fill in the bare patches and where I have moved some of the clean out piles and yard bag foot prints. Same thing, germination overnight practically.I feel like this brand specifically is 💯 worth the price, just bc of the quick germination alone. I have bought other brands and did not see as quick results with such minimal maintenance. Especially since an all clover lawn brings so much to the table on top of gorgeous lush full color, never has that dry and “just cut” look even after I’m finished mowing and edging it and Looks amazing even when it clearly needs to be cut. I’m letting it get really long in between cuts so it can develop a good root structure, some nitrogen fixing and hopefully it will flower here soon so I can get my other desired benefit- BEES!

Great seeds
5 Stars – Transformed My Lawn with Rapid Growth and CoverageI purchased the Outsidepride White Dutch Clover Seed to overseed my existing lawn and address several bare spots. Living in Zone 6, I sowed the seeds during the rainiest part of spring, hoping for the best. To my delight, the clover germinated rapidly—within a week, I noticed vibrant green sprouts emerging. The consistent spring rains provided ideal conditions, and the clover took full advantage, spreading quickly across the lawn. It didn't just fill in the bare spots; it established a lush, green carpet that blended seamlessly with the existing grass. Now, my lawn looks fuller and healthier than ever before. The clover has proven to be low-maintenance and resilient, requiring less watering than traditional grass and staying green even during dry spells. Additionally, it's attracting pollinators, adding life and movement to my yard.Overall, this clover seed exceeded my expectations. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their lawn's appearance and health naturally. Highly recommended!

Our solution for fast growing low maintenance ground cover
This seed sprouted quickly last fall September 2024 and most of the seed survived a NH winter. Images just taken July 15, 2025. This clover has not been cut. I am satisfied with my purchase and will repurchase to re-seed. This product offers a good low maintenance solution and helped us with erosion control along our culvert.

Amazing!!!
Could not be happier with these seeds! Wanted to make a nice soft grassy area for my kids to run around barefoot on, and settled on clover. Attached photos are exactly 2 weeks (14 days) apart. Sprouted within 48 hrs and have been growing great since. I am in zone 7 and planted in the middle of summer in a spot that gets lots of evening sun. Have been watering in the morning and in the evening every day for 14 days. Will be getting the biggest bag in the spring and seeding it all over the property!!
