These are not lightweight bolts. The 1/2 locking bolt seems massive as is the metal bolt holding parts. Nice design. Well made. Except I would have expected something more than tack welds holding the bent parts on the back. My concern here may be overly picky. They operate smoothly and will be easy to install. The bolt "throw" is adequate. I like these and would recommend them. Fast delivery, no damage. I would definitely use bigger screws than what came with them. I'm going to use S/S 1/4" bolts, flat washers, locking washers, and nuts in a sturdy backing. Otherwise you don't need this heavy of a latch.

These are nice, heavy duty slide bolts. They are good enough for industrial use, and they weld on nicely.

My husband used these to close up the murphy bed. They are heavy duty and look great on the frame of the bed.
