Titan Controls Apollo 10-240 Volt Mechanical Timer (10/Cs), Brown/A (734145)

First one I ordered, the timer wasn't working. Second one works great and now my wall unit air conditioner can run at the intervals I choose while I'm at work keeping home temperature pleasant. It was easy to return and replace the item. I hope the timer continues to function.

Plugged house, wall AC unit in and set on and off hours of operation. Took a few tries to set timer correctl (reading instructions may have helped... but its a timer, who needs instructions!).Once I figured how settings actually works, its been great. The override option, allways on, is superconvenient. The only minor thing is that there is a noticeable ticking sound if you are up in the wee hours of the night/morning. Its not noticeable during the day!

Ok, this is the second one of these that I've purchased in the past 2 months. I really really like the analog controls on this timer. I use these timers with a wall mount AC unit and want to be able to have it go on and off as I need during the summer - especially at night. I've used digital timers in the past but sometimes programing them is such a pain that I'd rather not bother. That's what I really like about this analog timer - you press the black plastic pins for when you want the unit to have power and come on. This worked well for a very short time! Very disappointed. At night, when it's warm, I like to have the timer (and therefore the AC unit) come on and be on for an hour and then off for an hour, that time of setting until I get up and then, depending on the weather, set it for when I'll be away from home. It hasn't worked consistently. I came home and the AC should have been on and went to the timer and the pins were all pressed and it SHOULD have been on but wasn't. It has also turned off in the middle of a timed setting. But I like this unit! It's so easy to set!! That's what I was looking for - so I bought a new one and hope this one will perform as it should. If this second unit works well - then I give it 5 stars. But the first one having timer issues after a few weeks is not acceptable.

I use this with a window unit AC in my bedroom. Works great, except for an annoying rattling noise coming from inside the timer, which is very noticeable at night in a quiet room.Manufacturer needs to put a couple drops of silicone oil or something in the gear housing. This is how I fixed the noise problem, but it involved taking the timer apart and digging into the guts to get a couple drops of oil in there. This is something that I DO NOT recommend anyone trying unless you really know what you are doing!

Ordered incorrect timer configuration

My family was not being great about turning the water heater off after everyone had used it in the morning causing my electric bill to go up $20-$30 every month. I was about to simply cut the wire and have everyone go without hot water, but tried this solution first.It worked great! I put this on my electric water heater to go on for 30 minutes at about 4:30 am.The water is good for when everyone is bathing in the morning. On hot days, the water will remain warm until the evening.The fact that it's mechanical is good and bad. If we have a power outage it will continue from where it left off, which means that if it was a couple minutes, not much harm is done, but if it was a couple hours, your schedule will be moved for those couple hours until you re-set the correct time via the time dial.

Weak parts timer won’t stay on had to glue the timer pins in place for it to work

I use this as a timer for my super old AC. This is perfect because now I don’t have to constantly turn it on and off. I’ve been using this for a few years and it’s still good. It even got soaked after a flood but worked fine after I was sure it was completely dry.

Works as expected

This timer is both inexpensive and easy to use, I set the time, plugged my pool filter in and plugged the whole contraption in the electrical outlet! That’s it, worked ever since with no issues whatsoever, there is a review further down that refers to the difficulties in setting the timer, what you have to know is that THIS IS A MECHANICAL TIMER, YOU GOT TO PAY ATTENTION to user sheet, included by the way, in the box, easy as pie!
