The item is true to its description. The packing is very cool and the player is not just a flimsy, plastic device. It is well built and has a great smooth picture without harsh pixels. The sound quality is great. Everything, besides the power, can be adjusted with the remote. The battery life is about 4-5 hours and it gives a warning with the battery is low. There a many connection ports available. It comes with a remote, a wall and a car charger, and a cable to hook to a TV. Great product overall.

The media could not be loaded. For Movie Fans, this unit is extremely functional as the portable nature, picture and sound quality allow viewing with extreme ease. I bought this portable DVD player for my students to sit in small groups/pairs to watch movies related to our English/Language Arts curriculum. It fits the bill. Screen is large enough to see well from several feet away. Sound quality is okay, but better with headphones. It is a bit lightweight and some of the features shown on the product page are not what this model offers (i.e., the function panel is NOT removable. So far I have been testing it at home plugged in, and a few hours on battery. Seems good. I also bought the matching storage case to keep it protected.

I got this player on a lightning deal before a long trip out of state with my kids. Player worked very well doesn't skip on big road bumps. Kids were very happy to watch their favorite disks. It has an sd card slot, so you still play movies from sd if you want to. Battery 5 hours and has a charger which we used, and the cord is long enough to reach the cigarette lighter while it's played. You can use double headphones with it, which is awesome as well. Kids dropped it on the floor couple times, the player still playing very well. I'm happy with this product and would recommend it to my friends :-)

Ordered this item about a month ago for our 14.5 hour road trip for my kiddos. We ordered the blue one and the orange one at the same time and opened them both the night before our trip so they could charge. Probably my fault for not seeing that they work before we went on our trip but too late now since were on the road and now have to find a walmart to see if they have any portable dvd players to replace the orange one with. Not happy about that at all. The blue one works perfectly fine but the orange one will not play the disc at all. All the player says is that it is loading and left it alone for 10 plus minutes and it still says the same thing and its the first time use! I advise anyone to make sure you check to see if the players are working ahead of time before getting on the road and I would purchase the blue one instead of this one because there are differences between them.

The COOAU Portable DVD Player 12.5" is a really great portable DVD player! I used this in the car on the way to the beach (8 hour drive). We also used it at the beach house through the TV for movie night. Now, as far as volume in a car, it's not that great, so it's best that headphones used. However, I didn't have noise limiting headphones for my son, so we had to use the regular speakers. (Hindsight I could have used my portable speakers, but didn't think of it until now, plus I don't like have having too much out and open in a car. ) The picture quality is decent; however, the sun will make seeing the picture almost impossible even with tinted windows. So, a window shade is ideal as well. Because my son is 7, I gave those away and regretted it when he said he couldn't see the picture. Therefore, make sure you have child headphones and a window shade (obviously for during the day) while using this.Now, this comes with various attachments and cords. This runs on its own battery. However you can use the AC adapter plug to charge or use. This also came with a the cigarette lighter plug for your car, the red, white, yellow plug for the TV, and a remote control. All of these plugs can in handy for the length of our trip. I also like how the screen swivels and folds so you can put in the headrest holder. This way it's handsfree in the car for your little one. They eat their snacks and watch their favorite shows (without crumbs getting into the DVD player!) I chose the orange color because it's my son's favorite color and it was cheapest of all the COOAU's offered ($49). I would have to say this was the best 50 bucks spent for a road trip. Now that I know I should have headphones and a car window screen, this will be great on our next trip!

I purchased this recently for a long car trip and I am completely satisfied. It is lightweight, and easy enough for a 6yr old to use. We had it plugged in the whole trip, so we didn’t test out the battery life yet. It starts back up at that last viewed spot in the movie when you turn it back on which is really great. So far, I give it aA+!

Bought this for my wife, she loves the color (orange) and the fact she can play her European movies on it. Very versatile and light. Sound wasn't real loud, but a set of headsets and it was good to go. A ton of buttons on the remote, but we'll get used to that. Picture was really good. We would buy this product again.
