I must confess, I did NOT buy this for a cell phone, I purchased it to mount a unique style radar detector *(the Cobra Vedetta SLR 650-G). With that being said, it works great! The radar detector fits in it like a glove and I was able to attach it to my sun visor; as I simply hate having items suction cupped to my windshield.However, the arms on the unit didn't work as I suspected. They are not retractable arms on the side of the unit....rather they slide into the base and are manually exchangeable with extended fingers to hold different types and widths of cell phones. If I were using this to hold a cell, I would imagine it would be a bit cumbersome to remove your phone continuously. I did "test fit" my cell phone in this unit [Galaxy S3 or GT-i9300] and it seems to work okay, but my phone had to be {{popped}} out. Nonetheless, I don't think a cell could accidentally fall easily from this thing. Undecided if it would loosen up over time, but again, I am not using it to hold a cell phone. My radar detector stays in its grip permanently.Therefore, my review *might* be a little biased or tilted. I would say if you are looking for a cell phone holder for your visor, this would work, but constantly moving the finger-arms in and out of the tracks on this unit could cause them to grow loose over time. Would work great on the passenger side of a vehicle for navigational purposes and/or other updates if the sun visor is placed in the DOWN position. If there is a passenger with you, could cause some visibility issues, though. Just something to keep in mind, depending on how you plan to use it.

I LOVE this phone mount! I have a Droid Incredible so I needed the extended arms and I'm very thankful they came with it, otherwise it would have worked however it would have been too hard to put the phone in the holder and to take it back out again. As it is, it works perfectly! It grips my phone snugly but it's not hard to put in or take out. And the little arms slide so it doesn't block the microphone on the bottom of my phone or the power button on the top left corn of my phone, I just slid one arm on the top to the middle and kept the other arm off to the right some :)..

The mount is less then it is made out to be. It can be clipped onto a visor, true, but that's were things end. Bulky, unless you are able to adjust your visor to be exactingly at the right angle at all times to see and use you phone. And even with the "extra" parts it is not worth the trouble.Don't waste your money

Had to glue the feet in place to make sure they didn't slip out. Once I had made that modification, works great.

This barely fits the Xperia TL Sony phone. I have to show it in there and it's not easy to get it out. I am not impressed and gave it to a friend with a smaller phone. Won't buy again and wouldn't recommend.

I think it would have worked but new grand Cherokee visor come too close to my forehead.

Fast shipment from Amazon. Works well. My HTC EVO 3D fits, use the longer leg things for big phones. The clip is very sturdy and the spring action for the phone holding is also firm.

I have a Galaxy 3..My Daughter has a Galaxy note 2...it fits either phone.. perfectly..and securely..traveling bumpy roads..this holder held fast.. adjustments are easy to make..
