It is accurately described as a fit for Mag-Lites. I reduced the score because the base is too thick to fit clones. It may only fit lights actually manufactured by Mag-Lite. It held a 4 because at 100 lumens it's the brightest bulb I can find for 3-4 cell flashlights. The base of the standard incandescent bulb is 13.5mm, and this bulb is 16mm, measured with an analog caliper sized in cm. The height from the base to the flange is the same as the incandescent.The Dorcy shown in the photo is less bright at 40 lumens, but is dimensionally identical to the incandescent bulb, including the notch cut out on the flange. The notch cut out is required for some flashlights where the bulb is twisted to line the notch up with a retaining flange (an old Coleman).

Replaced the incandescent bulbs on a 3-cell and a 4-cell Maglite. Much brighter than the normal bulbs and much more energy efficient. Seem well made also. If these fail I’ll update this review.
