Nice quality julep strainer
A good quality julep strainer which works very well with mixing glasses.It’s a matter of personal preference what type of strainer to use when making cocktails. I tend to use the Hawthorne type for shaken drinks and the julep strainer for stirred ones. The julep strainer is a bit easier to clean than the Hawthorne and it looks stylish when used with a mixing glass.But there’s not really much to recommend one type over the other; both types of strainer work well and either can be used in conjunction with a fine mesh sieve to make sure that ice shards and fruit pulp are filtered out on pouring.If you want a julep strainer this one is very good and comes at a reasonable price.
