I bought two of them, one for boat and one to put in my kitchen.When I was explaining to my kids, how to use it in case of fire, I realize it will be very difficult particularly smaller kids to use it if no modifications are done.Safety pin secured by strong plastic strip, it will be difficult to break it.Even if you break plastic strip, it’s not easy to pull safety pin out because it’s blocked by manometer screen.So what I did: I cut plastic strip off, turn around safety pin, and secured it with rubber band.Please see on a picture.

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Because a Fire Extinguisher really can not be reviewed properly until it's used and you can see if it works or not, I will keep this short. It arrived as promised. It looks good, appears to be made well and I will trust it to work in an emergency. Because I read other reviews, i will comment on the negatives I've seen. Two main negatives are that it arrived empty, sometimes having sprayed out on the trip in the delivery process or it arrived already too low to use. In my case, it arrived perfectly. The box it comes in has cardboard positioners to prevent it from getting hit and having the pin fall out and spraying in the delivery box. Mine arrived in great shape and ready to go. I highly recommend. Good luck.

Perfect replacement for the out of date fire extinguisher on my boat. A US cost guard requirement.

Does the job. Last summer we were far offshore in our boat and experienced an outboard engine fire. This extinquisher did its job quite well extinguishing the fire in short order. Could not be happier with its performance.

I'm leaving 4 star, only because I have not had to test it out yet. But it's am essential tool for any small room that has risk. Fits secured in a known place. Seems to be a good choice in terms of money and function. If the need comes, this thing will come out fast. Pull the pin and you're set up. It doesn't take batteries, the review is asking about that lol. I'll probably get a second one eventually.

Have not used it yet but it is my standard equipment in my boat. Hope I don't need to use it.

Mounted up on my airboat. Is held securely even when going over rough terrain and choppy waters.
