Amazing company, good product.
Product works well. However despite the description it does not come with the full sized PCIE bracket which means I am having to jerry rig them for now.**ETA**. Seller reached out and offered a partial refund even though the listing says it only comes with a low profile bracket. Something that I completely missed. So I am changing this to a 5 star review. the product works great. I screwed up in not reading. And despite that they offered to give me a partial refund which I have refused because it isn't their fault.

Good working adapter between external SAS2 and internal SAS2 connection
Good working adapter for SFF-8087 (internal SAS2) and SFF-8088 (external SAS2) on empty PCIe slot.It could be installed properly in the PCIe slot with a full-height bracket. However, It cannot be inserted into the PCIe slot with a low-profile bracket (due to a wrong direction and length of the low-profile bracket included.)According to other reviews, it should be working fine with a low-profile bracket from LSI external SAS2 RAID controller, such as LSI 9286CV-8e.Because I had a bunch of LSI 9286CV-8e controllers from Lenovo SA120 units, I could use a low-profile bracket from it.With a LSI low-profile bracket it can be mounted in the low-profile PCIe slot as expected.Other cheaper adapters (with a small gap between two SFF-8088 ports) will not work with a low-profile bracket, even though we can use an LSI one.I highly recommended this adapter for someone who wants to connect internal-external SAS2 devices with a low-profile chassis, such as 2U servers.

Is this the adapter you deserve? Probably not, but it probably is the one you need
10Gtek Dual SAS SFF-8088 to SFF-8087 Adapter, with Low Profile and Full-Height BracketPositive: The adapter itself works just fineNeutral: Oversized PCB prevents use of some right angle SFF-8087 connectorsNegative: The low profile bracket is not as pictured in the listing, it's simply a shorter version of a standard bracket, and not mirrored like it needs to be.This was ultimately the adapter I needed, and really the only one I could find in 2025. So while it does work, I had to cut down the needlessly long PCB to fit the right angle SFF-8087 cables I had, and I had to mangle the half-height adapter in a vice so I could actually use it in my R720

Backwards small bracket; lack of full bracket
What good is a card that can’t be mounted in a half height or a full height slot? Zero. What a waste.

Picture and description misleading
I ordered 2 of these expecting to have a full size bracket in the box as it says in the description but it does not come with a full size bracket.

Fits well in 2u (half height pci) chassis.
Unlike another common 8087 to 8088 adapter which had the two ports slightly spaced apart, this one fits into the low profile pic slot (the pcb of the other is too tall, even though it includes a half height bracket). There isn’t much to the product other than that. It’s a simple pcb, so not much to go wrong or anything else. It does use the same bracket as the lsi 9207-8e cards I have. It’s not really a huge deal, but because I have spare half height and full higher brackets, it’s nice to know they are interchangeable if I ever need to switch out the brackets later on.Great product for what it does. I recommend it.
