So the phone is not really unlocked? Will it not work with my Cricket sim card?

Any AT&T "branded" phone, locked or unlocked will work on the Cricket Wireless network using a Cricket sim card because Cricket uses AT&T transmission towers and are a subsidiary of AT&T. I've used AT&T phones with Cricket Wireless dating all the way back to the LG V10. I'm using the V60 to type this response, and have a second V60 as a backup just in case something unfortunate occurs.

Will this work in Australia ? I'm with Optus

I can confirm it works with 2degrees in New Zealand. I can also confirm that update works fine with my 2degrees sim card.
