H3 side windows - are these supposed to go on the outside or inside of window? Came with 0 insturctions.....

Hello friend, our side window is install the outside windows, This is the Installation method: 1. Tear off the white film tape of the decal, 2. Spray some clean water on your rear side windows and decal, more easier to attach it.

One set of instructions here says to spray water while the other doesnt. Can i use water and a straight edge to get the water out once i place it on?
