Easy to use!
This is a nice little tool that works as intended. I used it to carve the faces of a plastic die for an RPG game. The results I obtained were pretty good; however, it drained the battery quite fast. You can tell the battery is running out when it stops emitting this high-pitched frequency that sounds similar to a dentist's drill. I had to use two batteries to complete my project, which was not very ambitious tbh. I definitely recommend this product if you intend to use it for something small that can easily be done in a couple of minutes. If you plan on doing something slightly more complex, or that requires more than an hour of work, I suggest you look for another tool (unless you're willing to use more than one battery).

So smooth and breezy. Will never need a stencil
I purchased 2, since I tend to beat these up. But so far, I'm still using #1. Just as powerful as those that take stronger voltage or even electric. Electric is either flimsy and cheap or bulky and noisy. Regardless, this sleek, breezy engraver is well built and does a great job . Easy to handle. Never used stencils. I just use it like a pen. Doesn't burn out and end up in the garbage. I just change the batteries and go back to work. The bits are replaceable. Many of those I use in my rotary took can be used in this etcher/engraver.

Died after a month
I loved it. Used it for a few minutes every couple of days. I've swapped out the batteries twice, so it's not exactly efficient. This time when it conked (in process--I din't get much slowing ever), I put in fresh batteries and nada. Cleaned the contacts I could with ethanol and a q-tip, air-sprayed out the switch. She's dead, Jim.

Easy to Use
Used it to craft a wedding gift and the bride loved the finished project-an etched vase. Practice on spare glass first to get a feel for the vibration. Easy to use.

The tips etch nicely..
The tips etch nicely...when it works. It seems to have a short in the wiring or something. It gets frustrating.
