Q: what is height of this and aso the diameter?

This airpot is 6 inches in diameter at the base. It is approximately 5 inches in diameter where the "black" top meets the stainless steel. It is 15.5 inches high. I bought TWO to use for coffee & decaf for meetings... to minimize the hassle of having to brew early mornings before meetings, I wanted to be able to make coffee at 11PM the night before to be used by noon the next day! I prime both pots with 20 cups (2 10-cup hot water runs of a Capresso coffee maker) of steaming hot water & let them sit for 90-120 minutes. Then I begin to brew the coffee... when the first 10 cups is brewed, I dump the water, pour in coffee, close pot, make second 10-cup pot, add to airpot, then make third 4-5 cup pot to top off airpot. The coffee is still steaming at 12-14 hour point... and if you drink coffee black, it is "drinkable" warm at 24 hours (steaming with 30-45 seconds in microwave). In fact, it will be slightly warm even at 36 hours... unless it has been kept in a cold environment that robs heat from the pot. I plan to start using an insulated grocery bag (that is supposed to keep food cold for up to 3 hours) as a "sleeve" over the pots overnight so they will cool down less between brewing and use the next morning.

Q: Does the top “lock” for easy traveling?

I have been using this for about a week. It does have a lock that's supposed to keep it from leaking but when I went to move it 2 different times to another part of the counter, it tilted slightly and spilled down over the front of my shirt. I thought maybe it wasn't in the closed position the first time but I checked the second time and it was. I don't know if mines defective or not. Disappointed!

Q: How easy is it to push the button on this carafe for someone with arthritis whose hands don't work so well?

This coffee craft sucks. It's very hard to push the button too bad because the rest of the crap seems okay you just need a new lid. That is not a truthful answer that it says someone with arthritis can push this easily not true.
