It's hard to know whether it's doing anything or not. I wanted to propagate some cuttings from a houseplant, and they said to add charcoal to the water or soil so that's what I did. The ones in water seems to be getting some roots. Don't know if the charcoal helped or not.

Great product. Very little dust and a very good addition to my orchid potting substrate.

Good quality. Quantity is a little peculiar. Don’t make your decision by looking at the picture.
It’s good quality charcoal and works well for my indoor plants… but it’s definitely not as much charcoal as the picture indicates. I don’t have a scale to determine if it weighs as much as a quart. You may want to order two or three quarts of your needing to mix a lot soil and other ingredients for several plants.
