Genmitsu KABA Fold CNC Enclosure for CNC Router Machine- Noise Reduction, Dustproof, Flame-Retardant, with Side Toolbar, Compatible with Genmitsu 3020-PRO MAX & V2, 3018 Series CNC, 520 x 475 x 405mm

Got this to enable me to have the machine working within the house without causing dust and noise. Was slightly concerned by some comments about magnetic tape not sticking but it appears the design has been updated so the close is now via embedded magnets and this is no longer an issue. Fits the 3018-3020 series machines well - can be a little dark inside but its easy enough to hang a small rechargeable light inside on the provided loops. Its not removing all the noise but cuts it significantly and keeps pretty much all the dust inside.

First off, I like this case. It's well built and does a great job of reducing noise and containing dust. But, the dust will slowly creep in between the aluminium frame and adhesive on the magnetic strips which causes them to unstick. I have used the case for approx 10hrs and have had to remove all the magnetic strips, clean the surfaces on which they adhere to and re-adhere using an impact adhesive. So far, this has fixed the issue. If you use a 3018 CNC router, you'll already be used to tinkering to get it perfect and with this case, it's the same.

Nicely made enclosure. Precisely cut extrusions, well made hardware and well finished acrylic panels. The only issue was the magnetic tape did not adhere to the aluminium so I used some 12mm heavy duty double sided tape instead.

Bit of a disappointment is that I still have to provide bottom side to this, so this cannot be standalone enclosure as such.

Seems expensive for what it is. Also doesn't have a base and so leaks dust.

Lots of people who buy this enclosure find that the magnetic strip doesn't stick well. This spoils an otherwise perfect item.The glue is heat activated! A few minutes with a hairdryer and scalded thumbs and the strip will stay put for good.

I bought this to go with a 3018 PROver. To my happy surprise, it makes a really big difference in the noise - takes the screechiness away entirely, and what's left is fairly inoffensive and quiet. Pretty happy with this one!

This product could be great. You need to solvent the magnetic strip. Very angry, cost me time and money
