Yes you can use any 5V to USB power supply be it 1A, 2A or 3A. This switch will also work without power if two HDMI sources are ON and giving it some power. However if it be OFF when only one or none HDMI sources are active.

Little hot sometime feelingBe advised : Use little costly HDMI cable like honeywell for best performance trust it was also strange for me but yes what I mentioned it is also true you can use ordinary as well but quality wise I can say use little costly Hdmi cable for its actual performance and high bandwidth
